“Reconnect to the sky.”
Awareness is like the sky always present, open. Our thoughts are like the clouds. The conditions of life are always changing and it is impossible to find perfect balance. So when we feel angry, triggered, anxious, sad….we can think of these like the clouds ☁️ and the sky is awareness and touching that we can touch mindfulness. Although we can’t change the tumult of our circumstances or inner emotions, if we practice mindfulness we can find calm in the storm.” This is a paraphrase but I thought of us and this project. In a way, art also feels like the sky.

Question: As I have been working on these, I started to slowly separate the image and the text, flipping the frame and putting the annotation on the back and the image in the front, reminiscent of the classic postcard design. I prefer this style and when I read the guidelines, I thought it seemed ok. I know that the idea of them all being uniform in some way was appealing. At the same time, the experience and exploration of the format is also fun and important. Thoughts? xoxo
